Alamgir Kabir is a businessman in Toronto. He is an ex-civil servant of the people’s republic of Bangladesh. He has extensive experience in managing cooperatives in Bangladesh. He did master’s in public administration from the University of Dhaka and post graduate diploma in supply chain management from Humber College in Toronto. He has a great deal of passion in helping people in different capacity. He has great connectivity with the Bangladeshi diaspora in Ontario and involved himself in different socio-cultural activities here in Toronto since he immigrated to Canada.
Noushin Khan is a social work professional having extensive working experiences in social service and teaching field. In her early career, she taught business in university. Now she is working at Canadian Mental Health Association in Toronto. She is trained and educated in social service and human resources management from Ryerson University and Centennial Collge in Toronto. She has great passion in helping immigrants and refugees who seek employment assistance in Toronto and adjacent areas.
Tahsina Akhter is an academic scholar in sociology and anthropology having extensive teaching experience in different universities in Bangladesh. He was an associate professor of sociology at the University of Dhaka. She also did masters in anthropology from York University. She has deep interest in social research preferably on women, poverty and development. She has been working with different non-profit organization here in Canada and Bangladesh. She has a great passion and interest in promoting social justice and women empowerment. She has recently joined the BIES’s Board of Directors taking the responsibility of General Secretary.
NIzan Uddin is a social work professional having over 20 years of experiences in managing poverty alleviation programs of not-for-profit international agencies. He is trained and educated in Canada and Bangladesh. He worked United Nations Development Programs, CARE International for international development. He is currently working with City of Toronto supporting homeless people. He has a great passion to help vulnerable people to stand on their own feet and live a dignified lives.
Imam Uddin is a professional Career Specialist having over fifteen years of diverse industry experience in settlement and employment, democracy and human rights advocacy, and the media. As an experienced career counsellor and job developer, Imam has helped many individuals finding employment and conducted workshops for thousands of people on various job-related topics. Imam has bachelor degree in public administration. He has also a Diploma in Career and Work Counsellor and Social Service from George Brown College, Toronto. Imam has a great passion for community development and has been involved in different non-profit agencies in the city of Toronto.

Golam Mostafa is a social work professional with over 10 years of experience in managing no profit agency’s programs and services in employment, settlement, mental health and social justice promotion. He is trained in social service and job development from George Brown College in Toronto. He has bachelor degree in public administration and post graduate diploma in public policy from Institute of Social Studies in Hague, Netherlands. He is passionate to help vulnerable people and promote social justice.
